This substrate is a very hygroscopic material, it absorbs water and raises humidity inside the terrarium. The Coconut Bark Chips maintains its attractive appearance and absorbing abilities for a long time. The coco chips are an excellent substrate for snakes, tropical lizards and large tortoises.
